About
A Proven Growth Strategy
Since 2014, Perdido and its affiliates have built a significant and diversified position across South Texas and South Louisiana, through eleven strategic acquisitions. With more than 300 producing wells – both conventional and unconventional - we employ a proven and disciplined growth and acquisition strategy, seeking to optimize stranded assets that are no longer strategic for their predecessor.
Acquisition
Disciplined underwriting, including diligence on current operations and cost improvements as well as short and long-term growth inventory
Production Optimization
Leverage our team’s expertise to evaluate neglected assets to enhance production and reduce lease operating expenses, with minimal capital deployment
Recompletion and Workover
Maintain a multi‐year inventory of recompletion opportunities that provide high returns at low costs; utilize a maintenance capital program to steady production
Drilling
Focus on legacy fields that have robust inventory of proven underdeveloped reserves (PUD) locations, providing low‐risk growth
Our Acquisition Approach
A core tenant of the Perdido strategy is to partner with the right sellers to build a solid foundation, gaining insight and expanding our opportunity set. As we continue to evaluate opportunities that demonstrate characteristics consistent with historical transactions, we look for actionable opportunities, including bolt-ons and large in-basin assets, that have a stable production profile with a large inventory of upside projects. We target a balanced mix of natural gas and oil production, providing optionality throughout commodity price cycles.
High Quality Rock
- Conventional or unconventional, pursue rock that is well understood in a proven basin
- Significant subsurface data and de-risked formations, typically through offset activity
Stranded Assets
- Shale drillers focus less on legacy conventional properties – leaving stranded assets behind
- Operators that have focused field personnel on other areas/projects (smaller lesser core assets)
Stable, Long-life Production
- High Reserve-to-Production Ratio – indicating long life assets with significant production beyond 2030
- Asset base that has substantial upside through operational enhancements, recompletions and developmental drilling
